What is Organization schema?

First, let's talk about what "schema" is.

Schema is lines of codes that can help search engines (especially Google) to understand our page better and return more information to the searchers.

Organization schema is one type of schema out of the tens of types.

When installed correctly, it increases the chance for Google to generate a knowledge panel of your organization in the search results for branded keyword searches. 

Imagine when users search for your "Company name" in Google, and there is a quick overview of your organization. It will boost your authority in the searchers' minds, and Google also gets to know your organization better. 

Fun fact: Half of Fortune 500 companies do not even have an Organization schema installed on their site. 

How do I install the schema?

By default, HubSpot doesn't support Organization schema, so you would typically need to manually add the schema codes to your About page.

But who's got the time, right?

P.S. Adding the Organization schema is a requirement for Google to generate the knowledge panel for your organization, but there is no guarantee that Google will.
